FDL Series Fiber Delivered Direct Diode OEM Laser Sources
The FDL is a continuous wave (CW) fiber-coupled diode laser with a wavelength of 808 nm. Pioneered, engineered and patented by Laservall, the FDL contains a unique laser beam reshaping module, which focuses the beam into a single-core fiber optic cable. The result is an extremely bright spot at the end of the fiber which can be manipulated with high precision. Average diode lifetime is 10,000 hours and, as such, the system should not require technical maintenance prior to this time. Laser emission may be controlled by a command box unit (for stand alone units) or by other control systems such as PLC or PC.
OPERATION MODES:
CW MODE
In this mode, for each trigger signal, a pulse with a width of 1 ms to 9999 ms can be generated.
PULSED MODE
In this mode, for each trigger signal, a laser pulse sequence will be generated with the following characteristics: width (Ton) of each laser pulse from 1 ms to 50 ms; Toff between two subsequent laser pulses from 1 ms to 50 ms; total time width of the laser pulse sequence from 1 ms to 5 s.
The FDL Series has been designed as a non-contact tool for many different industrial applications such as:
• Thermoplastics joining
• Soldering (e.g. SMD technology)
• Brazing
