Smartist software for laser marking applications

Smartist 4.1 defines a new standard in software for laser marking applications.

Smartist 4.1 consists of essentially two components:

The Hardware - The laser marker is controlled by an electronic card which is inserted on the PCI bus in a normal PC.

The Software - Srnartist 4.1 permits, first of all, manipulation of the marking layout using a simple and intuitive graphic editor. For instance, the editor allows the creation of simple geometric forms: lines, rectangles, circles, curves, etc. as well as the import of more complex logos and vectorial graphic formats such as. PLT, DXF and raster graphics such as BMP, JPG and GIF. The editor can also be used to create strings of text, barcodes and 2D datamatrices which are treated as static entities. Dynamic entities such as built-in counters after (e.g.for serializing or time-date marking) in various formats, and data fields which may be synchronized with database sources are also available through Smartist 4.1.

Smartist 4.1 is far more than a simple editor. Rather, it is the first laser marking software to define a true platform of development for marking systems.

The editor uses Active X technology permitting interaction with other programs and RAD environments such as Visual Basic, Db2k, Lab View and many others. Utilizing these same components, Smartist 4.1 also offers extreme flexibility of use, customized by Visual Basic Script editor integrated within the software.
